Play Dough Fun!

These twins are LOVING their “In The Garden” box! Thank you Mommy Nathellie Gordon for sharing!

You can do this activity at home too! Make your own play-dough, (recipe below) mix in some Cocoa for an awesome smell and colour.

Home Made No-Cook Play Dough Recipe

You need:

  • 2 cups plain flour

  • 2, 1/2 tablespoons cooking oil

  • 1/2 cup salt

  • 5 tablespoons Cocao (optional - you can also ad a few spoons of instant coffee to the boiling water for the colour and amazing smell!)

  • 1 to 1.5 cups boiling water (adding in increments until it feels just right)

Method:

  • Mix the flour, salt, cream of tartar, cocao and oil in a large mixing bowl. If you are using instant coffee, add it TO the boiling water then into the dry ingredients

  • Stir until it becomes a sticky, combined dough

  • Allow it to cool down then take it out of the bowl and knead it vigorously for a couple of minutes until all of the stickiness has gone.

*This is the most important part of the process, so keep at it until it’s the perfect consistency!

If it remains a little sticky then add a touch more flour until just right

Let the kids pick their own flowers twigs and leaves, and let them play as they wish!

Save this activity and recipe to use later when your kids are TRULY bored... 😉🤪🤣

Have Fun!
